The 2025 Somali Culture and Arts Exhibition officially opened today in Nairobi and will run at Two Rivers Mall for three days.
The exhibition showcases the richness of Somali heritage through music, literature, cuisine, visual arts, creativity, and cultural stalls. It aims to highlight Somalia’s unique cultural identity while promoting coexistence, unity, and mutual respect among communities living in Kenya.
Each evening during the exhibition, attendees will enjoy theatrical performances and spectacular fireworks displays.
The Somali community in Kenya has achieved notable success in business and has brought recognition to Somali people locally and internationally. Despite this, negative perceptions about Somalis still exist. The exhibition seeks to raise awareness among Kenyans and inspire Somali youth, fostering pride in their heritage and encouraging the next generation to celebrate their culture.
