The Lower Shabelle regional court on Monday carried out a qisas (retributive justice) sentence against Mohamed Adan Isaaq, who was convicted for the murder of Sadiiq Ibrahim Ahmed.
The execution took place in a public square in Baraawe, drawing a large crowd of residents who had long awaited the enforcement of the court’s judgment.
This marks the conclusion of a judicial process aimed at upholding accountability under Somalia’s legal provisions for serious crimes, including intentional homicide.
