An unknown armed group has killed Abdi Ise Qooleey, an elderly man, in Caabudwaaq town, located in the northern part of Galgaduud region in Galmudug State.
Following the attack, the perpetrators fled the scene. Local officials and members of the victim’s family quickly arrived at the site, according to multiple sources.
Security forces in Caabudwaaq, in collaboration with community elders, are actively pursuing the assailants to prevent any retaliatory attacks or escalation of clan-based violence.
Incidents linked to longstanding clan disputes and revenge killings have increased in various parts of the country. Both federal and regional security agencies have intensified cooperation to apprehend suspects and restore stability in affected areas.
